Why is it important to take mental health into consideration when owning or starting a business? According to an article from Forbes, 72% of entrepreneurs are directly or indirectly affected by mental health issues compared to just 48% of non-entrepreneurs. During this panel discussion, Meridith Marshall, Founder & CEO of Uncharted Coaching/Co-Founder of Kin, and Chris Myers, Colorado Lending Source’s CEO, will elaborate on this topic and break down the stigmas around vulnerability. They will dive deep into the importance of balancing a healthy outlook on a whole human approach to leadership and the implications this can have on entrepreneurship.
Even as we’re emerging out of the pandemic, entrepreneurs are facing incredibly challenging times and it's important now more than ever, that not only can they keep their businesses alive, but also how to manage all the external factors outside of their control. No matter what phase a business is in, mental health for both business leaders and their employees alike is essential for survival and growth.
The panel will be moderated by Nicole Christianson, Colorado Lending Source’s West Slope Loan Officer, who’s incredibly passionate about helping small businesses access capital and is personally motivated through mindfulness practices as well.
