The Next Generation of Business Owners Aren't Who You Think They Are
Entrepreneurship in the United States is changing rapidly as the people starting new businesses are significantly different from 25 years ago. Specifically, today's entrepreneurs are more likely to be black, brown, female, or older than most people realize. Despite optimism for the future, our current financial system is not adapting fast enough to support them. The result is that in today's America, entrepreneurship is slowly declining.
In their new book, The New Builders, venture capitalist, and Startup Colorado Board Member Seth Levine and business journalist Elizabeth MacBride describe these trends and tell the stories of the next generation of business owners in vivid and compelling detail. Join us for West Slope Startup Week’s Official Kickoff Event where Seth and Elizabeth discuss how the New Builders are the future of American entrepreneurship.
This year’s Kickoff Event is sponsored by Startup Colorado and the new online Rural Entrepreneur Network at StartupColorado.org.
