Sherrie has a tremendous passion for developing the next generation of leaders. For nearly 20 years, she has been teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level students on business principles and theory and its application to practice at Nyack College and University of the District of Columbia. Currently, she teaches at the University of Colorado, Denver.

Sherrie also has significant experience establishing, coordinating and delivering training curricula across industries and leading efforts to develop community leaders. Her commitment to leadership development was amplified in 2008 when she participated in the DC Neighborhood College’s Center for Excellence in Public Leadership through George Washington University.
Sherrie holds a Bachelor of English from University of North Carolina, Charlotte and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Nyack College. Her research interests include management leadership and organizational change.

In 2013 Sherrie survived the Washington Navy Yard mass shooting. Shortly after, she began volunteering with The Rebels Project, a nonprofit founded by Columbine survivors to support survivors of mass tragedy. She relocated to Denver, Colorado to become even more involved in the mission of providing support for other survivors. She is the owner of Epiphanie Consulting LLC and joined Rocky Mountain Finance Institute (RMMFI) in 2020 delivering entrepreneur educational programming and is now Site Activation Manager, assisting the nonprofit with expansion.
